Cleaner
About the Role
Our Cleaners are responsible for the cleaning of Wiltshire Creative’s two sites: Salisbury Playhouse and Salisbury Arts Centre ensuring that both premises are serviced regularly and maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Hygiene
- To be responsible for cleaning Wiltshire Creative’s premises comprising offices, theatres, dressing rooms, rehearsal room, community space, foyer areas and toilets to the required standard as directed by the Cleaning & Maintenance Supervisor
- To undertake regular / seasonal deep cleans as directed by the Cleaning & Maintenance Supervisor.
- To replenish soap, hand towel and toilet roll dispensers daily.
- To be aware of Health and Safety matters relating to COSHH and the safe use of cleaning products at all times.
- To be aware of basic hygiene requirements and best practice at all times.
- To liaise with external suppliers of cleaning materials and services.
- To monitor stock levels and advise the Cleaning & Maintenance Supervisor of any ordering requirements.
- To support the Cleaning & Maintenance Supervisor by identifying and reporting any areas requiring maintenance.
- To maintain the cleanliness of grounds and forecourts including planters and fire exits.
Security
- To be aware that whilst in an un-staffed building, you will need to take extra care of your own safety and for the security of the building.
- To be able to unlock / lock the building and set the intruder alarm.
- To be named on the emergency call-out list and to be prepared to cover for the Cleaning & Maintenance Supervisor in the event of a call-out during periods of illness or annual leave.
General
- To always act in the best interests of Wiltshire Creative.

About You
- You will be able to work alone on shifts or as part of a team as required.
- You will possess awareness of hygiene matters and the standards required for a public building
- You will have experience of cleaning and maintaining a busy public building
- You must be responsible and reliable
- You will be proactive in identifying cleaning needs as they arise
- You must be able to work unsocial hours, particularly evenings and weekends, with occasional early mornings, and able to work during busy periods, such as December holidays
